The overall objective of the 3F2 project, in line with 3F, is to improve agro-sylvo-pastoral systems sustainability, resilience and productivity through the mobilization of plant agrobiodiversity (2022-2026).

Objectives

3F2 will seek farmers’ empowerment throughout a participatory researchprocess, involving women, based on co-designing, co-evaluation and co-learning.

Description

The project isstructured into three complementary objectives:

- Further explorationand characterization of plant agrobiodiversity in order to identify key geneticresources worth implementing and testing into new cropping systems.

- Co-design andco-evaluation of new cropping systems that meet farmer constraints andobjectives through the mobilization of an enlarged plant agrobiodiversity.

- Evaluation ofdifferent scenarios of crop diversification at farm and landscape levels
