Ecological Processes and Services (PROSE)

The team bases its scientific and geo-partnership strategy on three to four research groups invested in agricultural systems or production basins in synergy with the unit’s other teams and the research groups (dPs Asap, Iavao, RP-PCP, Siaam and Divecosys). La Réunion is an important taskforce on sugar cane as one third of the workforce is based there. West Africa is also a key region for research on cotton, cereals and leguminous crops.

The team’s main partnerships includes partners of the NARS and universities in the South (ISRA-Senegal, IER-Mali, INERA-Burkina Faso, amongst others); the partners of the industrial sectors (eRcane - sugar cane, cotton companies, etc.); other RUs or international institutions working on similar subjects (HORTSYT, Wageningen, etc.); other RUs or international institutions providing specific expertise on certain mechanisms (CBGP, AGAP, etc.).
