Albedo, Conservation agriCUltuRe and climATe bEnefit (ACCURATE)

The objective of the project is to study the biophysical effects of the different pillars of conservation agriculture (no till, mulch, rotation) and to compare it to the biochemical effects in terms on soil carbon sequestration and greenhouse gases emissions, in order to estimate the global radiative forcing and the climate benefit of this practice. The study will also investigate the interaction with the soil type and the type of crop residues (maize vs cowpea) (2020-2021).
