Transverse axes

It is a level of scientific animation that is targeted to be more effective. Two transversal axes are set up. They feed into one or more of the research challenges identified by the unit and are linked to a main research question.
  1. Modelling (agronomy, biostatistics, computer science, space), knowledge engineering, artificial intelligence and data mining for ecological intensification of annual cropping systems
  2. Monitoring ICP/ACP approaches and tools and conducting research on the control of pests of annual crops, including any multi-purpose species that may be associated with them.

However, these transversal axes are not exhaustive; other discussions on more specific thematic aspects are carried out within the framework of the unit's other coordinating bodies.

  • Remote Sensing, Computing and Applied Mathematics (TIM)

    TIM
TIM axis provides a space for exchange, monitoring and animation around questions relating to modelling, knowledge engineering, data science, artificial intelligence and space technologies in support of agroecology. It integrates "research" aspects but also more "operational" aspects through a modelling laboratory. The challenge of TIM axis is to bring benefit to the research projects of the Aïda research unit.

  • Biotic constraints and Integrated Crop Protection (BIOPIC)

    BIOPIC
This facilitation group is part of the general context of reducing pesticide use and designing agroecological solutions to control diseases, insect pests and weeds of economic importance in a sustainable way. The cross-cutting area BIOPIC is intended to promote a multidisciplinary approach, and facilitate the exchange and sharing of ideas on monitoring and management tools in ICP, in day-to-day research activities and collaborative projects.
