Description

CANALLS project aims to foster agroecological transitions in the humid tropics of central and eastern Africa through transdisciplinary, multi-stakeholder agroecology living laboratories (ALLs). The design and implementation of a methodology for the co-creation of optimal combinations of agroecological practices adapted to the needs of farmers and value chain actors are among the main components of the project. As part of this post-doctoral position at CIRAD, I am leading this work package, and it is in this role that the research objectives will be defined. The overall objectives of the post-doc are to evaluate agroecology living labs as an approach to design and implement agroecological practices that can support the transition to agroecology for a diverse range of cropping and food systems. The establishment of ALLs and the determination of co-creation objectives are still in progress and are necessary before the specific objectives of the post-doctorate can be defined.
